about

Ccompositions for plucked and hammered strings, winds and violin/viola/cello. I was inspired by the Ken Follett novel "The Morning and the Evening" which is set at the end of the Dark Ages in the late 10th / early 11th century England. "Hue and Cry" was a practice in medieval England whereby a person could call for help in pursuing a suspected criminal. All who heard the call were obliged by law to join in the chase; failure to do so would incur a heavy fine and any misuse of the hue and cry was also punishable.
