about

These spaced-out soundscapes are inspired by the multitudes of sand hill cranes that have wintered here in New Mexico and now begin their migration north in February. During this time they prepare for the journey by gathering in large flocks and circling very high in the sky, calling out to each other. You can hear them before you can see them, appearing and disappearing as they catch the sun. Also I'm inspired by a particular guided meditation given by Jack Kornfield called Blue Sky which presents images of Being of the Voidness, No Solid Body, and the like, and encourages a sense that your mind is not limited to the size of your head.
